GSAT Exam 2022 Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, and Syllabus: Today, we shall try to learn all that is need to apply for this exam.

GSAT 2022 examination is an admission test for students to enroll in various UG and PG science courses offered by the GITAM Institute of science, Vishakhapatnam.

What is the GSAT Exam?

Through the exam, candidates can get also admission into various disciplines of the courses like B.Sc, BCA, M.Sc, MCA, etc.

To be eligible for admission, candidates should therefore apply for the test through the official website. Before proceeding to the application form filling, candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the authority.


The admission is also given to the students according to their performance in the test.

GSAT Exam Date

GSAT 2022 (GITAM Science Admission Test) is a university-level entrance test conducted for shortlisting candidates for admissions.

Its application form will be released in both online and offline mode on April and March 2022.

The Admit card releasing, however, will take around May and June 2022 for both candidates.

The admission test is also expected to be conducted between the month of June and May 2022 for candidates respectively.


Candidates who, therefore, meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam as per the specified schedule.

And therefore expect to see their results on the 3rd or last weeks of the months June and May respectively.

GSAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

To take this test, candidates must therefore be eligible. Hence, you will have to meet some criteria depending on your specific course and level.

The GSAT 2022 eligibility criteria for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are therefore provided below:


For undergraduate courses:

BCA: Candidates who have cleared their class 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply.

BEM (Bachelor of Environmental Management): Those who have passed intermediate/ class 12th/ vocational or equivalent can apply for BEM.

B.Sc (Mathematics, Physics, Electronics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science) and B.Sc (Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science): The applicants should have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects.

B.Sc (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science): Requires a pass in class 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a subject.

BSc (Hons) Chemistry: The candidates who have cleared their 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology or equivalent are eligible.


B.Sc (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioinformatics), B.Sc (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioinformatics/ Microbiology), B.Sc (Hons) Food Technology and Integrated M.Sc Biotechnology: Applicants should have passed their class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or D.Pharmacy or vocational course with Fisheries/ Sericulture/ Dairying/ D.MLT.

For postgraduate courses:

M.Sc Applied Mathematics: The candidates who have done B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects and have studied Mathematics & Physical sciences at the intermediate level are eligible.

M.Sc Physics: Requires a B.Sc degree in Mathematics & Physics and any other allied subject.

MSc Electronic Science: Applicants should have done B.Sc with Mathematics and Physics/ Electronics and any other allied subject.


M.Sc Chemistry (Analytical/ Organic): Those who hold B.Sc degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects is eligible.

M.Sc Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Food Science & Technology/ Bioinformatics: B.Sc with Life Sciences/ BEM/ B.Sc Food Science/ Home Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology and allied subjects/ B.Pharma/ BPT/ MLT/ BDS/ B.Sc with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ BCA with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks is mandatory.

MSc Environmental Science: Candidates should hold BEM/ B.Sc in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma degree to be eligible.

M.Sc Data Science and MCA: The candidates with any degree with Mathematics at class 12th or degree level or equivalent can apply.

The GSAT Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for the test for admission in the Undergraduate program is as per the curriculum specified for classes 11th and 12th.


Candidates, therefore, need to study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology subjects of class 11th and 12th.

Those seeking admission in PG courses need to study for the exam as per the relevant UG syllabus for the course they want to enroll.

GSAT Application Form 2022

The candidates for the 2022 GSAT Exam can apply online. Apart from this, they can also download the application form or can obtain it through the post.

Online applications will be available on the website official page. To get the application through post, the candidates will send a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with a complete mailing address.

Also accompanied by DD for Rs. 550 drawn in favor of Principal, GITAM Institute of Science payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.


The candidates can fill the application form by providing their basic personal and academic details.

After entering the required information into the form, the candidates can therefore submit it online.

In case of offline application, it can be submitted along with copies of important certificates and prescribed fees so as to reach the Principal, GITAM Institute of Science, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam- 530045.

The application fee for GSAT 2022 will be Rs. 500.
